well its going ok. finals suck. but this made me laugh.

busy busy busy

i'm doing more reports. i'm going china next semester for a business internship, so i'm busy getting visas and planetickets, registering with the state department and making sure insurance is ok. i heard some funny things on my walk to the library from the parking lot just a few minutes ago. i love the one lines you get from conversations. so take your ipod off once and a while and check out the funny stuff you could hear.

"well what can you do to help me at this point"-distressed californian kid
"i'm sorry, you just caught me at a perfectionist moment" pretty girl to unpretty girl
"wow dude, i thought she had stopped liking you."-2 freshman
"well gosh...gosh gosh gosh"-had to be in the quill and sword club.

Proof God hates Utah

Here's my proof that Heavenly Father dislikes everything outside the Church Office Building and Temple Square.

Facts:

A. God punishes those who disobey him. (Scriptures)

B. Punishment makes people unhappy. (Guantanimo Bay)

C. People who freeze because of cold temperature. (Ice caps)

D. People who freeze are unhappy at some point of freezing. (Ask the guy in Titanic)

E. Wickedness never was happiness. (Book of Mormon)

F. Unhappiness never was righteouness (inverse)

Proof:

Its 31 degrees outside, you could freeze because the body is mostly water, which would make you unhappy, which is the result of punishment, which is what God does to those who disobey him.

So repent and it'll warm up

and the other one stopped liking me.

I found this note in the little hymnal cubby at church. If you can't read it, here is the transcript:

"What ever happed to those two girls you told you liked them? at the concert.

Nothing ever happend. I stopped liking one of them and the other stopped liking me."

I laughed really hard and kept this in my pocket for a long time. I hope anyone reading this didn't write it.

And thats my trusty mach 3 in the foreground. Keeps my mexistache at bay for a few hours each day.

well my last assignment before the break was turned in a few minutes ago. so now i relax.

me and my friend last night were talking about doing stuff because we think that people think its cool. thats lame.

so here's the stuff i like to do thats not cool:

video games-so f-in fun, the pwning, frags, and noobs, 2 conditions; no warcraft, no knight games. pwning is my favorite new word. a girl in the quill and sword club taught me it.

opera music- i thank paul potts for this problem which has been perpetuated by youtube.

muttering to myself- after living with a chinese person for 9 months, i had to find someway to keep sane, but i guess it makes me look crazy now.

pbs- most likely my favorite tv station. it has done more for our generation than any other station ever. remember ghost writer? i sure as hell do. and what about a little show called sesame street. well i've discovered they have more good shows like nova and a host of solid documentaries.

star wars- i watched these movies at least once a week when i was a kid, the video games are fun. and it makes wonderful conversation with any member of the medieval club.

jeopardy- i could watch this show for hours. i swear i've won a few times. i may have a non-sexual man crush on big alex t.

npr- i could listen to talk radio all day long. it keeps me up to date and gives out great recipes for festive appetizers.

sushi

me and aaron went to eat sushi tonight. it was the 3.50 a roll night. pretty good stuff. but nothing like the goodness they had on maui. that stuff was really good. these last few days have been very very hard. i feel my body wanting to just stop and rest, and thank goodness for thanksgiving. i'm beat pretty good. my mind has been occupied with theories of globalization and foreign investment raising happiness levels. did you know that they can measure that now? look up happiness quiz on the internet. they're actually pretty accurate, or so the psycholigists say. i've been listening to alot of sujan stevens. you should check him out.

burfday report.

it was good. we had my favorite food in the world, Loco Moco. alot of cool people that i haven't seen in a while showed up at our house to hang out and celebrate my entrance into my 23rd year. 23 is so old. i'm starting to feel like an old man. my knees ache and i forget stuff.

i had a big rush of thoughts yesterday about how much stuff we do because we feel/think that that's what we're suppose to do. what we wear, what we read, what we watch is all dictated in large part by people other than ourselves. if we like to do something that is viewed as 'nerdy' or 'boring' by society, sometime we pressure ourselves in to not doing that thing in order to look cool in others eyes. i think thats why when i'm walking on campus and i see the medievil club or a nerd, i get so stoked. i have so much respect for them because they are just doing what makes them happy. it's rad.

in 11 minutes i'll be 23. thats really old. i think.

i got a call for an internship today. they want me to go to china. sounds pretty good. i'd work in china and vietnam. super cool experience. maybe. i've still got to talk to the lady tomorrow.

my car has a dead battery. i hate les schwab. i went in there, 2 full episodes of cops later i had a new battery. but there was a few good take downs and mullets. after i got the new battery, i came home, went to bed, wanted to leave for work, and found the battery has died again. oh crap. well back to the schwaby tomm and sort things out again.

Jews and turkey sandwiches

I'm tired today.

First, the new Mt. Dew sucks. The work fridge was out of my mandatory Dr. Pepper so i was forced to choose something else. There is some new can that has a Halo guy on the outside, and liking to play xbox, i chose it. Its a new flavor of mountain dew. Tastes like a crappy red bull. Never ever ever drink it. I was sooo pissed that i wasted my $.35. Never again. Stick to Dr. Pepper and save yourself a good day.

I've also got a stomach ache today. Why? My Turkey, Bacon and Swiss sandwich that I thought would hold me over. And now, its ripping me up. I've been studying for a test in my Judaism class. Should be good. Cool facts about the Jews: 613 laws, professional Jewish circumcisers are called "mohels", Yihyeh b seder (it will be ok).

Under the suggestion of a friend, this is the start of my blog. This could also be the end. We'll see. Who reads these things anyway?

Today i also watched my favorite Dr. Seuss book in cartoon form. Its called the Lorax. If you haven't seen it, you should.
